Instead of driving them out, we should be doing all we can to ensure that the majority of the new hams are of the highest possible quality. No-code is here, it most surely is on 6 and 2, do what you can to get as many high quality newcomers as you can. Since the FCC didn't buy my position that the new licensees should be located above 220 MHz (to supply a critical mass so that manufacturers would promote equipment for these bands), we're going to have to work much harder to retain our lightly-used microwave spectrum. (Yes, I know, they passed the same writ- ten test, they should have full VHF-and-up privileges.)
